Melatonin has a inverse response curve, so Michael is right. 0.5mg - 1.5mg *max*, otherwise you're just making your REM sleep all stressful and hyperactive. Over time, if you're taking more than 2-3mg, you will deteriorate because you're not actually getting rest. I can't take it at ALL lol. I get borderline traumatized by the dreams and sleep paralysis.
