Matt

dang it I caught up. Amazing story, looking forward to seeing what challenges Jake has coming up.

ZaA

Please no. Really doesn't matter what Jacobs doing unless he's going be a huge part of the story, and author already said it wasn't like that

Zogarth

I fixed the mistake, but I have to make sure... is the first part of the comment irony? It doesn't translate very well through text, so I am sorry if it is a joke that miss-landed. Because to think that the wind and rain and not getting proper nutrition is an issue for superhuman semi-magical beings that have been shown not really having to eat just seems... like something you shouldn't think? I really hope it's a joke. Also... yeah. The Earth would have to be many, many times larger than before for him to see so far.

CyclopsSlayer

You do realize that with that many people surviving and with a no longer extent food distribution network, 2/3 of the people will be dead within a month from simple starvation. A Hunter/Gatherer civilization cannot support the mass numbers of people that crowd the cities. If climates are similar to current Earth much of the rest will die from exposure. This isn't even considering the Beasts and predatory people. With levels of 10, they cannot even hunt for themselves. I would be surprised if even 1% of the original population is alive after a year. edit: From 100m altitude on Earth the Horizon would be 39.7 Km away. For him to see "hundreds or even thousands of kilometers" the Earth would have to be dozens of times larger. "wasn’t a determent for power" - determinant of

That seemed extraordinary easy lol

Grammarmelade

It just [started->stared] at him with its tiny eyes.

Zogarth

So, it is sociopathic to focus on getting to the Pylon (which he has a limited time to ensure getting) instead of stopping to talk with random people who may or may not be antagonistic towards him? After he just parted with Jacob and the others, already feeling pretty shitty about his last interaction with others where he squashed someone's hand.

silder

This chapter made me think Jake's a sociopath. It doesn't make sense how he avoids all human interaction but acts all 'buddy buddy' with his God friends. I'm hoping his fear of people in this chapter is just a set-up (character development lol) for what the pylon is going to make him do (be a lord).

thanks for the chapter 'said that Nobility' -> 'said that the Nobility' 'An hour more later' -> 'An hour later' OR 'An hour or more later'

Thanks for the chapter! back paddle -> backpedal, probably

So I can't believe I'm about to say this but this would actually be a great time to have PoV change to Jacob and his struggles setting up a community/working to prevent the humans of the city from eating each other. Doesn't have to be detailed, more like an overview of the following couple of weeks in the city, then we can come back to Jake and get a quick review of how he spent his forest vacation before adventure ensues. Obviously I don't know what will happen but it seems like without a time skip the next few chapters will boil down to "Jake exists in the forest" But alas, the story has already been written and we'll find out in due time.

Zogarth

:) Earth's surface area is approx 10k times more than before. Sun has 12k times the surface area.

If I'm not mistaken, something to consider: Seeing 1000km when looking from 100m in the air would mean earth is now almost as big as the sun. (assuming earth is still spherical and Perception doesn't let you look around corners) This would mean that the circumference is about 31 million kilometres, or about 750 times our Earth. A normal non-stop flight from Spain to New Zealand (opposite sides of the globe) takes over 25 hours. It would take our commercial airplanes well over 2 years to make the same trip on Primal Hunter Earth. If I am mistaken I'd like to be corrected. Also, Jakes estimation of the distances could be off, of course.

L Pedersen

I chuckled :D

Zogarth

When he can make people freeze up and ingrain the fear of death into their souls with a casual look?

SpaceGoddess76

I’m really surprised more humans don’t try and target him. It just seems like human nature that the seedier side of humans would try and gang up on someone alone or someone that looks weird cause he has a mask on or even when they think they have the upper hand of numbers.

Milton Skipper

claim the pylon for the rewards check...... a place to practice check...... a shit ton of people running to the pylon for safety..... ah crapola.

MAJmuffin

Ah, a moment where even the bards will sing about.

Zogarth

Or a master DJ with the sickest beats, scaring every other beat off.

Chloe Berry

"Most beats got out of his way, seemingly afraid of him as the raptors had been during the tutorial." All hail Jake, master farmer!

Somerito

Wonder if he will be the first to claim one, probably a bonus reward for that. Would be funny if he missed out on that because he was too busy playing around with his new skill.

Ben Allen

My guess is that it will give him alot of benefits, but will also require him to do things he has no interest in inorder to keep those benefits.

Zogarth

Vaccus

an ominous last sentence! latching out --> lashing out to take control of. --> to take control of it.

An_Amazing_Username

Ah, I want to know why he'll regret it in the future!

RottenTangerine

Great chapter! I'm very curious to see what the benefits are (and if everyone gets a notification that someone claimed the pylon?

BlackRazaras

Thanks for the chapter!
