Zogarth

Edited it a bit. Ty!

Oz

“Meanwhile, the Mystsong Hawk could summon ten times that while also attack itself.” attack->attacking. Although even that is a bit odd cause it could be read as the Hawks attacks targeting itself rather than the intent. Maybe “Meanwhile, the Mystsong Hawk could summon ten times that amount while launching attacks itself.”

Did Zogarth mean to have the quest objective be something like, "Evolve race to D-grade before evolving either profession or class to D-grade?" In that case, Jake's question to Villy about how to level up his race makes some sense. But the answer does not make much sense. How does class XP go to race XP all of a sudden? Why would the XP suddenly stop going to his class? Was there supposed to be a prompt for Jake to accept the quest which would then cause the XP to go from Class to Race? And Zogarth forgot to include the prompt in this chapter?

That quest is extremely unclear. First of all, there was no prompt about whether to accept the quest or not. It seems to have just appeared without asking for acceptance. So it does not seem that the quest does anything by itself. The quest objective says he has to reach level 99 in both his profession and class before evolving to D-grade. The literal interpretation of that would allow him to evolve his profession or class to D-grade as long as he first reached level 99 in both his profession and his Class. So it seems he has to avoid killing anything until he gets his profession up to level 99 (otherwise his Class might reach level 100), at which point he completes the quest objective and can proceed to level up either his class or his profession, and his race will then level up from 99 to 100 after he either gets his class to 101, his profession to 101, or both his class and profession to 100.

Thanks for the chapter!

Joshua

He sent people to get them

Stephen Pearson

Thanks for the chapter! You might want you add a throwaway line or 2 about sending a team it to pick up the folks he saved.

Zarik0

Mmm did you skipped or forget to write the part about him saying to other he saved their ass hard and they were just fat sheep getting ready for the slaughter by a D grade, he say nada about the minotaur AND the people he rescued who still wait people come take them lol

Lommel

You are not alone. Now I have no idea what it's even for. It probably was mentioned at some point but I never cared much about system details so I may have skipped over it if it was explained.

Runaway_Cactuar

Wait, I thought what made somebody E or D grade was solely their race level (which for Jake is at lvl 86 as of now), not their class or profession levels. Do I have it mixed up?

Balsamic ThunderThighs

It seems the ship is still being prepared... the SS JakeXVilly or the SS JakeXMiranda

Lictor Magnus

With lots of poison hopefully.

Zogarth

Fixed

Monadologist

"the cap of D-grade." is arguably better phrased as the cap of E-grade, or the threshold of D-grade, as he hasn't left E and entered D yet. deterred -> deferred

Amadhe

Now... We will see the death of the Humongous Fungus

Zogarth

Fixed, but the second one is meant to be as.

Corwin Amber

'all been impressed' -> 'all had been impressed' 'accumulate, as while' as -> and 'faintest of interest' -> 'faintest interest' 'and helping them' -> 'to help them' 'remember that belonged' that -> what

flssdd

He doesn't need to teach per se, for a personal student, it has to be... personal. But he can just give Miranda some basic books, his old bowl and some inferior herbs and have her look for someone promising to gain a class. You know, the same way he got into it. Even if the bowl is a little bit special and they can't make more, one can mix and others observe. People may want to copy the books and make gardens, make vials and glass... professions all around. Help the progress of the city without actually doing anything.

Professional_industrial_man

Thank

Jorge

They got a few hours before something smells all that free food. Don’t worry about it.

adam1

So... did Jake forget to tell the fort about the minotaur's prisoners?

BookDragonling

D grade! D grade! D grade! it's soooooo close

Torbjørn Nilsen

Ty for the chappy

Zogarth

Mainly due to confusion on how he would even level it. So far he gains it with profession/class levels, so he just wonder how he could evolve his race without evolving either profession or class beforehand. In Jake's case, any race levels right now is effectively wasted xp. But some may not feel like it is.
