hi angus

just subbed to the patreon, whats up

its nice that he's finally acting like a real hunter would, always felt like his fighting style before was a bit off.

Thundertruck

Yo wtf im in the 3 dollar tier how’d I get access to this?

Michael

Highly depends on your point of view. In real life, Hunters will kill their prey relatively easily. Isn't that kind of the point of a hunt? You are actively chasing down some beast to kill it; and to do that as best as possible, killing your prey as quickly as possible means you are a better hunter. Ever seen a 40 year old man run up to a lion and have a sword fight with it? Or even try to use a musket or something stupid? No, they blow its brains out with a rifle from ages away.

tethra

That's the way I understand it as well, I imagine that with him not getting any exp from killing those below his level he gets a larger bonus for tougher hunts, and being able to one shot your prey with very little prep work doesn't seem to be a tough hunt.

I think it was also stated that the type of class you have effects how you level. The Auger of Hope must do things like inspire growth and developement to gain higher levels. So, as a hunter, Jake will of course be hunting things. I imagine that the harder a hunt is, the faster he will level. So he isn’t just killing things.

Fixed.

a Crusher found an Arrow of the Ambitious Hunter strike it from behind striking

Zogarth

It is the second-highest overall after all bonuses and equipment.

Kris Boxall

Thanks for the chapter! Oh and just a quick heads up Vitality and Wisdom are still slightly higher than Agility with all Jake’s boosts, unless you meant Agility was Jake’s second highest base stat which it is :)

Primarily through time and scale. A D-grade (or even E-grade) can live far longer than a normal human. But you ask if a demigod won't destroy entire ecosystems? They sure will. Just look at the Viper destroying the entire planet he was born on. Any powerful being focused on killing will end up standing on a planet-sized mountain of corpses. Also, remember dungeons being a thing and just the sheer scale of the Universe and Multiverse as a whole. True, Earth has limited hunting opportunities, but there are billions of other planets in a single galaxy alone.

Gabriel

How much killing is a person expected to do if they can kill a thing over 30% higher level than them and not get a level? If it's a system that's based around getting levels through doing your roll and achievements of different types, I guess anything could end up being justified as it's vague enough. It's just for Jake the "economy" of his leveling doesn't seem to make much sense to me scaled to a bigger level. I don't understand how any class based around killing can get to even demigod with a anywhere near reasonable number of kills. Like enough kills to destroy multiple ecosystems.

Thanks for the chapter!

Chris

You may have a point.

Zogarth

Fixed. Funny fact, half of the time I try to write "monkey" I write "money" as I am so used to writing that word...

BlackRazaras

I always thank before reading. It's just like dinner. You thank the host before you start eating. That's why I always thank the author for the chapter.

Chris

, money tail > monkey tail

Chris

You did not even read it. It could have just been the same sentence repeated

BlackRazaras

Thanks for the chapter
