Just for the sake of conversation. With regards to the tub draining time, if he went into the bathroom and found her he could have pulled the plug and then ran for the phone to call 911. That could potentially have left enough time for most of the tub to drain, so maybe there was only an inch or two left in the tub when he said 'it's draining now'. So if there was only a little bit left, the last inch or two could drain in 15 or 20 seconds.
