To be fair, in Magneto's case, a lot of the potential feats total control over the EM spectrum theoretically grants him is stuff he's literally never done, and is mostly just wild fan speculation. That said, X-Men 92 and 97 got the closest to getting him comics accurate, and I think it's a perfectly appropriate power level for the man to be at. Storm...I'm biased, I feel as strongly about her as Nikhil does about Gambit, but I think she gets it worst in just about every timeline.

The only reason I can think for Storm being underutilized is that they genuinely just don’t know how to “balance” her powers relative to the other characters. Magneto seems nerfed in a similar way, it’s just less egregious cause he’s still the primary villain so he gets *some* spotlight.

Subscribed to the Patreon for the early access to this series, I think that the editing is done really well between condensing the episodes to the important parts and your reactions and comments really do make this transformative, I don't think I'd enjoy the show as much on my own but this format is spectacular. I'm excited for more and excited for whatever ends up being the next reaction series if there is one!

See, I agree with your Storm thoughts, this show really undersells what she can do and it also feels like, if they gave the opportunity to let Storm be Storm, she'd have all the problems solved in like ten minutes. So, I wonder if they nerfed her for the sake of plot. I vaguely remember what happens throughout the rest of the series, just bits and pieces so I am not sure if this improves

The angel one would always be in the holiday special block. This and the JL special always made me feel so cozy

Storm is probably the character Fox did more damage, and this series being extremely influenced by the movies, she suffered the most here

The reason for the difference between Storm and the others is that, if the wiki is correct, she isn't a series regular and is instead a recurring character, and those generally get less focus. This is, of course, absolute nonsense as a choice because it's *Storm*, and I am side-eyeing it heavily

Great video and it is weird to have the two biggest x men characters especially at the time Logan and storm be side characters. Although it works better with Logan given his personality and that he's still given more to do . This just really make me want you to do a video series like you do with the mcu where the characters meet their comicbook counter parts. All would be great but especially storm

yeah no I think you are entirely correct about Storm being done dirty so far. Hopfully the show improves on that front. I can't remember if it does but it was also literally 25 years ago. (Now i feel old)

Yeah dude, Storm definitely gets the movie treatment in these. I feel like a commonality in all xmen media I've seen outside the comics is failure to give storm a strong character
