I'm going to guess most people's "bad one" for Sonic soundtracks will be Sonic Chronicles: the Dark Brotherhood. There's a long story about how it got that way, and I don't know which rumors to believe, but the end result is mostly low-effort MIDI covers of pre-existing Sonic songs.

Names: The fox and Sonic's best friend: His actual name is Miles Prower, a pun on "miles per hour". Tails is a nickname Sonic came up with because Miles doesn't like his first name, and because his two tails and what he can do with them, are his most prominent features. As for the villain, his actual name is Dr. Ivo Robotnik (his grandfather is Dr. Gerald Robotnik). Sonic calls him Eggman, because a lot of his creations, and let's face it, Robotnik himself, are egg-shaped. At first, Eggman was a snarky insult, a show of Sonic's 'tude, but later, Robotnik took it and ran with it. So while he doesn't call himself Eggman, he names his creations Egg Viper, Egg Dragoon, Egg Carrier, Eggmanland, Death Egg, etc.
