I'm one of those that quite enjoyed both Cross and Chrono Trigger. It is a sequel to Chrono Trigger, it's just that as you play through the game, you don't really get the same vibe in terms of story and art. The track Chronomantic is sort of a tropical take on the main theme of Chrono Trigger and that's as much as I want to spoil on the off chance you do play the game. (Gamespot gave the game a 10, which is rare feat considering that website doesn't hand that score that often.)

I absolutely despise Chrono Cross as a story and the combat, while interesting, is kinda tedious. The music and drawn backgrounds are definitely the highlights of the game though.
