Number one for me, cos of nostalgia, but it may not be the most readable.

I love #1 from the nostalgia angle, but #3 really stands out thematically. How come you didn't try the UK title text? Was it the horrifying version of the character that put you off? (it would me)

I really like the look of #1 but #3 is easier to read at a glance for someone just scrolling through their sub box.

I think I’ll have to go #1. Classic, most recognizable logo.

I think #3 after your enhancement for sure. The new logo just pops and I’d think is easier to read for most people.

I would use number 1 as the thumbnail as it has a real retro look indeed.

First one definitely stands out the most. The logo and background have a greater contrast, whereas I'd say #3 has the least contrast. #2 also seems a bit aligned to the left. Overall, I prefer the first definitely.
