First Epic Model: Infineron, the Wandering Army Work in Progress

He's far from finished and will be released later this month after some other models.
I've got a little bit of lore for him but hopefully his name/rough appearance gives an indication of his purpose.
This month promises to be a busy one at work as well as some client jobs in my spare time, that said I'm having so much fun doing these that I'm aiming not to slow down :D

My intent is to make a base that makes him look like he is coming through the ground, the more I think about it though I might just give him legs etc... It depends I don't want to diminish his size but a large standing figure is cool. Feedback/thoughts welcome :)

Is he meant to be emerging from the ground, or moving on the arms of those corpses?
