Why do you suppose the 145th King renounced conflict when he had the power to end all conflict? Why did he retreat to the island unlike his ancestors who continued to fight on the mainland?

What is your opinion on the discrimination of Eldians for no other reason than that their ancestors were perceived as evil tyrants who used titan powers to take advantage of others? With history contradicting itself again between Eldians and Marleyans, how is it not senseless conflict?
