Entrapta explained what was happening back in 3 x 4. "If my numbers are right, and they are, if we open a portal the anomalies will be catastrophic. It'll unhinge time and space, creating a warped reality that will collapse in on itself, erasing us from existence!" This episode is a warped reality.

This is a VERY late comment, but: to your note Kenny about no one being able enter and exit Despondos, you’re only half right- Hordak says that Horde Prime could easily open a portal from the outside in, light hope and Mara said opening portal from within would end badly. It’s inconsequential but it’s an interesting difference to make note of.

from how i see it the reason king Micah is around is because in the reality they are in, the horde never existed so Micah couldn't have died, the whole thing is real, it is their reality for everyone on etheria and as things disappear they are erased from that reality but once reality is restored the only people who stay gone are those suck in the portal

Let’s talk about the fact that Adora never had a good parental figure her entire life, and in this episode Angela fills that parental role for just a second, and is the first adult to do something selfless for Adora.

I'm a bit sad nobody commented in the reaction about Adora's growth from having the weight of the world (and Catra's actions on her shoulders), she finally discards the blame and assigns Catra agency for her bad decisions and actions and that it's Catra's own fault, not hers. Love to see the growth!

Fun (Sad) fact! If you look at Hordak when he and Catra flee, you see him reach for the crystal that Entrapta installed into his new armor. If you look closely enough (and decode the first one’s writing) it says “Loved” So I’m those final moments, he is “betrayed” by the one person he ever trusted, the person who loved him 🥺

Great to see some Kenny = genius moments coming in for she-ra. He doesn't get to theorise much with AoT (at least till they get past the episodes he's already seen anyway) so it's great to see him getting to flex the theory muscles a bit with She-ra.

Also something to consider that adds to the tragedy: Angella is basically immortal so her being stuck in the portal means she will be in there literally forever, while someone mortal would have aged and died.

Hence Bright Moon - it's clarified in a panel later that instead of suns, Despondos has a moon that gives them light, and that's what you keep seeing, but no stars.

The last 3 seasons were just a roller coaster of emotions and I cannot wait to see yall's reaction to the remaining episodes! Your reaction videos got me so hyped more that I restarted the last 3 seasons so they were fresh in mind when you react to them. Keep up the AMAZING work!

Also Mara opened the portal like a thousand years ago I think. But Hordak had only been there like for like maybe 30-40 years. It was with in King Micah's life time for sure. Though since the portals mess with both space and time they could potentially be related.

Entrapta said before the lever was pulled that the portal was going to mess with space and time on Etheria, and that's what was happening in the last couple episodes. The first thing the portal erased was the sword, so at the start we were seeing what would have happened in the fright zone if Adora had never found the sword. Then the fright zone and the horde got erased, so we saw what Bright Moon would have been like if the Horde never existed and the war was never fought. When we saw Mara everything was really breaking down, we saw her in her own time, you could tell because the beacon and the area around it were not ruins, but well kept buildings. It wasn't taking place in any ones head, it was just reality breaking down piece by piece.

Just wanted to point out that the “planets” you kept seeing, are actually Etheria's moons. If you rewatch the beginning of the first episode of the show, you'll see that Etheria had many moons (twelve in total) even before the whole portal thing. This moons are magical, provide light to the planet and take part on it's magical ecosystem.
