I feel that Montana is ready after watching AoT, but you can balance an Invincible reaction by pairing it with more wholesome series like Infinity Train, Ranking of Kings, Owl House or The Dragon Prince

After re watching the season Montana won’t be able to handle the violence in the series there is a lot of blood and people die in horrific ways I doubt she’ll be able to look at some of the scenes

I'm torn on what to recommend. On the one hand, Invincible is a great show, and I'd definitely love to watch it with you. On the other hand, it is gory. It doesn't bother me too much, because it's with cartoon characters so I don't take the violence as seriously. But I don't know if Montana would feel the same way and I certainly wouldn't want to make her watch something she'd find unpleasant. I actually find the violence in Arcane harder to take, even though it's less explicit.

Invincible is definitely worth the watch. Aside from having a fantastic season 1, the overall story is incredible with a ton of hard-hitting moments. And season 2 is supposedly going into production in the near future.

It's definitely a good show, another one that might not be a bad idea is Vox Machina. It's an animated show from a DnD campaign where the voice actors of Gaara, Levi, Mustang, and lust are some of the main characters. It's pretty equal in the level of gore to invincible and it was animated by one of the teams that helped make Korra

This seems highly misleading. Style wise sure it's a hyper violent superhero based show but that's where it ends. The boys is thematically a satire on modern day society, politics, celebrities and all that. Invincible is a story with completely different themes and more narrative driven than direct satire. A coming of age story for a young superhero. Won't say the twist as that'd a big spoiler but thematic important as well

Invincible isn't presented in a dark way like Attack on Titan despite the gore. It's pretty much if Justice League/Young Justice had gore and swearing, but it's not too edgy about that.

While there is a gore warning, it isn't really presented as extra dark or hopeless. Parts in AoT are more nihilistic at times, so.. I'd say give it 2 episodes, as I feel episode 2 is a better representation of what the show is trying to do. Now. Anecdotes aside. It's 8 episodes, you'd have interesting reactions to it, it's popular and would add a good search tag for the channel. (obviously do what's best for yourselves, but that's my 2 cents)

Invincible is a hard one to watch if you are turned away by gore, because there is alot of it. I still suggest you watch it because despite the gore its actually a great season.

Haven't seen the show, but I remember another reactor I watched (who has handled violent content before) decided not to continue after a few episodes, he said it was just too depressing and upsetting. I've heard similar things from friends, that it was just way too gratuitous. Only saying this to say that if you do pick it and decide you need to stop watching that's totally valid!!

Have you already watched through it Kenny? I like having the duel dynamic, one show you’ve seen that she hasn’t and one where you are both experiencing it together. Invincible could be a good short series

I agree, the minds and motives of the characters and the trauma they have and choices they make are the real bread and butter of the show (the action helps!). It's short, it's deep and thought-provoking, it's action-packed, and it's popular. I would definitely give it a try.

I think it's probably not as tough a watch as Attack On Titan is, and I'd definitely be interested in seeing your reactions to it and hearing your thoughts. I think you guys should definitely put it on a list of things to get to, if you don't think it'll be an immediate thing.

It's certainly a good show. Just unfortunate to delay reactions to other shows I'd be more interested in seeing like Owl House. But Invincible is only 8 episodes, so not a huge deal. Certainly reactions I would very look forward to watching even if not my first pick

Yeah that p much sums up invincible. And it is worth it. I hate gore myself, but this show, much like attack on Titan, had stories that are just so superior I had to grit my teeth through the gore

It's a very good show, but be aware the 1st episode is quite tame up until the mid-credits scene, which is something to be aware of - the show likes to go to the credits for a few seconds then come back. I can't recall if it's just a few episodes or all of them that do it, but you won't want to stop when it first goes to the credits. But the brutality and gore isn't going to be happening until that late in episode 1, so that's the part where it's like "Ok buckle in; you thought this was MCU but this is The Boys." Just sharing that so you guys don't go into it with any anxiety / cringing about it getting gory at random moments in the first episode.

Might be worth a vote. Given the gay cartoons pipeline, I suspect there will be more support from existing patrons for something like owl house next rather than invincible, which is good but a totally different direction.

Its very much like marmite. If the first episode turns you off it, then you wont like the rest at all. However if it does get your attention it wont let it go and I personally think it pays off massively. If you like that first episode you'll love the show.

It’s a good little 8 episode series (with more to come in the future) yes, Episode 1 is pretty good at setting the average level of gore for the show. Nothing significantly crazier than AoT

I think it's a good show and if she handeled AOT she can handle this one, granted she'll probably have to lool away a few times, but that won't affect on her missing in on the show. idk if you know of kat and sonny but kat has an even worse reaction to violence and gore and they just look away and still react to the show no problem.

It’s a fantastic show and has some great moments. If you guys like it after the first episode, I think you’ll love the whole show. It builds some amazing suspense and pays things off really well. Just be careful because the gore can be a lot (but you’ll see the worst it gets in the first episode).

I don't like gore at all really (and there's quite a bit in Invincible) but I think the show is worth it. The plot, the characters, and the emotions they evoke are peak for Western adult/superhero animation.
