Absolutely random idea
🕑 Added 2022-09-26 23:30:42 +0000 UTCShould I change “episode verdict” to “Letts Review” and Montana can say “alright, Letts review!”
Somehow starting the episode with Letts react, reacting, and then ending with Letts review before we discuss kind of makes sense.
It’s also 1:30 am where we are so this could make no sense in the morning. Comment any and all thoughts haha

Love that!

Makes sense in my brain!

I like it but also do so reviewing if you’re just doing Q&A call it Q&A
Yes
Megan Ghersi
I like it! Cool idea!

100% "Letts review" makes more sense than "episode verdict". Given, y'know, that there is no verdict. I always wondered where that turn of phrase came from.

FMAB 35 pls

Lett's do it!
Mark O'Leary
Meh, maybe. I always thought "verdict" meant you were going to rank it out of ten.
Cathy Breuer
I like the on brand-ness of Letts Review so.. i like it hahaha
Carabas
It would be an improvement. And you could also make it a proper review where you give your thoughts about the episode and talk about what you feel needs talking about, instead of just answering two usually very leading questions from us.
J. Antonio Ligorria
I agree that the section doesn't really fit the meaning of "verdict", but I think "Letts Review" captures the sentiment that both them and the (Patreon) community are sharing the experience of the show
J. Antonio Ligorria
Currently "Episode Verdict" already works as both a review and a community input section. My re-structure keeps that as "Letts Review", but makes Episode Verdict a new section that allows you two to add more of your personal opinion to the reaction. It is, afterall, why we watch these reactions
J. Antonio Ligorria
I think you can do both, use Letts Review to both give your final thoughts on the episode & answer the Patreon questions & end with the Episode Verdict (shared segment with Montana and you), where you might give a rating in relation to the other episodes in the series ("top 5, "top 10", "better than, but not better than") or a descriptive, qualitative rating (such as "definitely rewatchable", "top tier content", "character development", plot development episode). I'm thinking your structure works right now as: 1) Intro & Reaction 1.5) Discussion breaks/ Shock reactions 2) Episode Verdict: Final thoughts on the episode, what you look forward to on following episodes 3) Patreon comments & questions Whereas you're suggesting: 1) Intro & Reaction 1.5) Discussion/ Shock reaction breaks 2) Letts Review: Same function as "Episode verdict" & "Patreon questions" I think it can go like this: 1) Intro & Reaction 1.5) Discussion/ Shock-reaction breaks 2) Letts Review 3) Episode Verdict Hope I was clear in explaining

I always wonder why it was called "episode verdict" since it was not a verdict but more a discussion aka a review so yeah, totally make sense!
Manuel Ayala
I like it

DO It!!
Jerry Ferrell
Letts review does make more sense since it’s about delving deeper into the story rather than deciding if it was good or bad.
Kkat
I recommend doing so. "Episode Verdict" is a bit confusing as it doesn't really sync with what follows. Calling it a review is much clearer.

Letts Go for Letts Review! Why did nobody come up with the idea earlier?

DO it

I think this is is a good idea.

Now that you've put this idea out into the universe, you have to use it

I think the letts reviews a great idea, even though i cant really picture a video without "episode verdict" lmao, i think its a good idea :)

Agreed that I am a pedant that finds it weird anyway that y'all say episode verdict where there isn't a verdict (or general judgment), just questions. Additionally, the Letts pun works great, never too many places to use it!

Lol omg. Its so funny you asked this, because the other night, I thought to myself for literally the first time in the probably nearly 30000 times I’ve heard ‘let’s go to the episode verdict’ I was like, “…wait why do they call it that if there really never… IS one” LOL Change it up boiiii
Eric Smith
Sounds fun
Saturnbruh
Yeah that would be a cute idea

LOL

I think it would be a good change.

Yes I love this so much
Oppiee
You should say "Alright Letts review" followed by both of you hitting the "whoa"
Byron
Yes

I like it. I feel like verdict implies a quality judgement and would make more sense if you were giving each episode a score or rating. I think the term review better matches the commentary that you actually make.
Gestrid
I like the pun, but I'm not sure a Q&A with Patreon questions really fits into the word "review". Granted, I don't think it fits into the word "verdict", either, but still.
William Timmins
I love it

Honestly, this. I keep expecting it, and it never happens.

I like letts review. Verdict sounds like you're going to score the episode somehow or decide if it was good or not.

Listen, it would be an absolute shame to waste a fantastic last name pun, especially since y'all are going to formally the Letts soon
MistehMoses
@Camzee agree 100%

I like Letts Review. "Episode Verdict" never really made sense to me. It's more of a discussion/review/Q&A rather than a 'verdict' which I consider more to be like a score or a appraisal of something.
Mekar
So I like it more than I dislike it and I'll explain why. Lett's Review is what you actually do and it's incredibly good setup that you've decided on how to lead into it already too. Episode Verdict always sounded like a setup for a rating for the episode but it was really just mostly an answering of patreon questions. This is where i dislike it. I don't know if your review should include patreon questions because I view that as your "verdict" style. Should your honest review include questions from people who know spoilers that you don't? It's so hard to say. You guys already kinda do a post-episode rundown but you do it very briefly. Maybe if this becomes the norm you expand on your immediate post-episode reactions somewhat instead of changing up the whole format. Changing the verdict into a review really probably won't change much besides the name change and it would be more correct.
BlueEyedRaven
1:30 am or no, it makes perfect sense. I'm for it.
HamboneKablooey
That's actually a really good idea. It creates a nice through line for the episodes, and kind of makes more sense than "episode verdict" when it's less of a concrete verdict and more of a general discussion.
Colan Miller
It should be "Alright, let's react" instead of let's review
Katy I-J
I like it, because every time I hear y’all say episode verdict I think that you guys are literally going to rate the episode out of ten.
Erik
Ngl, episode verdict has always been a bit of a misnomer since early ATLA and it's bugged me a little lil
Molly
It’s so cute I absolutely vote yes

1:30 am thoughts FTW, Letts goooo

I was kind of confused by the verdict thing at first since it definitely seemed more like a review to me (which it is), so I think changing it would work
