I don't think you need anything! Just open the forge file and choose your prefrences, and it should make an instalation on you Minecraft launcher.

Hey! Idk if you've figured it out, but here's how. First, open your file folder and find your DragonFire .jar. Then in your hotbar, type %appdata% and it should come up with a folder at the top called .minecraft. Open that and scroll down until you find the mods folder. Then drag the DragonFire .jar to your mods folder, and tada! It will be in your game. (Don't forget to have forge!)

I tried to download Minecraft Forge for the mod, I was wondering what can I use to open the installer?

I'm confused as to why there is a dragon called a Nightlight if it's not the Nightlights from the movie. Why not name that dragon something else to avoid confusiuon? Or furstration for those expecting a Nightfury/Lightfury baby.
