Nice purchase! I purchased a little pile of 50 cent coins pre '64 a couple years ago and also some regular non-US mint silver ounce coins - but in retrospect, I will only purchase well-known mints from now on. I would include the Liberty coin, Canadian maple leaf, and So. African Krugerrand. I really like the idea of purchasing "grab bags" and other pre '64 US mint 90% silver coins - everyone recognizes those. They still have value if we have a Bank Debt buy-in like they did in Greece, or in many other cases. They hold their true value long term for economic crisis. And if the computers are down long-term, they will be worth something in the future if not now. God's blessings to you and your family.
