Great report but also depressing. Almost half my income comes from Social security. My 401K is not invested in the market. No risk but gain is small. Told spouse about the stock sell off and my suspicions. Hope he'll listen. The FDIC rules changed under Obama so I adjusted what I kept in the bank. Now, I only keep about $8k in the bank. Don't trust them. Holding cash and PMs are safer.
Valori, your banker is exactly right! I'm amazed that they were so honest with this information. Most people don't know about this or believe it when I tell them.
