Oh, AP, you nailed this one. My Grandmother.....she saved scraps of EVERYTHING. So much junk. And I am a prepper and I am saying this! Also, she would overpurchase food all the time. We had to throw out so many containers of dairy products...she would buy two or three of everything...and how long does it take to eat three quarts of cottage cheese? She experienced so much shortage and loss, I don't blame her at all. My mom is the opposite...she doesn't like to have any excess anything. When I went out to see here last fall, I brought two cases of various #10 cans of food for her to have on hand...and she started using it in April this year! Rice, flour, potato buds (from the Mormon pantry store - highly recommended!) I was so glad I had brought it to her.
