AP, people are moving out of the big cities because of the increased violence. I've known several who have left Chicago area, and leaving hurt them financially but they knew it was becoming a place that you couldn't raise a family and they believed that it would never change. Unless you lived on the mayor's block, that is. There are plenty of good paying jobs in the Midwest. Good jobs, good pay. If a person isn't working, is either their choice or they have an unusual personal situation. As a truck driver, I see these companies that can't keep up with demand because of the labor shortage. Unfortunately that puts an overwhelming demand on their good employees and they end up getting burnt out working 60+ hour weeks with no end in sight. Maybe it's different where others are, but that's the reality here.
