Hopefully time with family was as pleasant and consoling as could be given the circumstances ;w; Per backlash to efforts attempting to curtail AI slop, there is both anger and sympathy. On one hand it is confounding why people would recklessly disrupt the lives of artists who contribute so richly to society, yet the forced daily reflection of people who did not persist with art and instead envy those who did and for the difference that is shown is at least understood by some rationale. Nevertheless, AI slop, as opposed to crucial medical breakthroughs and replacement of drudgery in a finely tuned system of artificial scarcity, seems net/net worse for society in addition to needlessly inviting existential dread about worth as automation becomes more prevalent. The more AI slop is disrupted the better, so cheers to these efforts and plenty more!
