There was a time not so long ago I was certain such a thing would never again come to pass in my lifetime. I didn't specifically thank you for making this all possible at Thanksgiving — my timing's never been "on" — but thank you — thank you for showing me that you want Achewood to exist. Writing it is a pleasure again.

I sometimes skip these behind-the-scenes comics as I like to just appreciate the final form because I know how much work can go into narrowing down ideas, but "remember how good this drawiung was" made me laugh out loud. So I appreciate the added foolin' around in these posts

This has got me wondering where the term "blue heaven" comes from, Ive heard it used as the title of a great Public Service Broadcasting track. A google pulls up a breed of flower and a barbiturate pill. What does it mean where you're from Chris, here it sounds like Beef is describing a form of erotic asphyxiation.

Glad to have you back Chris!

I miss Cornelius so much I stopped using subtitles

Yes please do feature Cornelius. Wring him of all the sageries and wisdoms possible. And thinking of your corporeal form as a meatbag, a flesh prison, or a jankity chemical soup balloon is common among us chronic illness havers.

Onstad I love your work and your updates at the end of my week are a glimmer of bacon in a large bowl of dry couscous, but what is with your inbox man? 24k unread emails gives me the qualms.

At the risk of approaching parasocial dynamics territory, it's been so great to see you enjoying your return to achewood. Since you started your patreon, your writing has been simultaneously fresh and familiar, once again finding the niche in my brain that achewood carved out and hunkered down in back in '06. Congratulations on the upcoming 0100, and here's to the ones to come

I like lines that bottom-line everything and a "weird chemical trick of meat and timing" is pretty damn good

creating art doesn't make it easy to live in the world, but it undeniably makes it easier

are you fucking kidding me? Achewood is my port in the maelstrom, my comfy couch in the burning back alley, my angstrom wrench for mending ill notions. thank YOU is what I’m sayin.
