I (Taylor) would say the British way, just because I grew up watching The Great Mouse Detective (it’s one of my favorite movies 😄) and there’s a character there with that being his name and that’s how it’s pronounced. But the herb, definitely say the American way. Stephen said “probably basil (the American way) first, then someone would correct him and he’d try to pronounce it the correct way.

She did a good job with this, I pay for Tesco ‘clubcard plus’ where we pay £8 per month but get 10% off 2 shops per month (max £40 discount) so if you use that to your advantage you can get £32 of free food for nothing. Plus I’m a typical Yorkshireman so like to stack those benefits by getting clubcard price products with the extra 10% too. We have a saying up here - if tha looks after the pennies, the pounds look after themselves. No truer words have ever been spoken 😊 thanks guys, great reaction

Yup Tesco clubcard is free, the catch is that clubcard prices are closer to what we should be charged, so anyone not using it are getting majorly ripped off

Honey in supermarkets here isn't real honey, it's processed and infused with sugar in China then imported. For real honey in the UK you'd need to buy from independent sources.

Cheapest bread here is up to 55p per 800g, standard cheap store own 75-80p 800g Clubcard prices are the "real" prices that match other stores, its just a gimmick to get you a loyalty card (and therefore more likely to continue shopping with them and feel like youre getting a good deal). Theres a channel 4 documentary that explains it all and compares basket to basket between supermarkets and youre really only saving about £2 vs another grocery shop, i think it was £32 instead of £34 and no clubcard it was £38 Milk goes in the fridge door, creamfields is actually tesco. Dozen tesco eggs £2.30 Our cows aren't fed growth enhancers/boosters. Dry mustard for cheese sauces and such. Tesco, asda, Morrisons, all rewards cards are free and yes basically 1 minute to sign up to it, so toothbrushes and toothpaste are actually cheaper in the UK and yeah, time of shop affects prices.

I shop at Tesco. That Creamfields brand is cheap and tastes cheap. The only thing I will buy is the cheese slices (like burger cheese). It’s like the budget alternative.

Regarding the bread, we’ve got bakeries all over the place. I’m not that far from the Warburtons bakery which is a well known brand. I’m also quite close to the McVities factory where they make hobnobs, digestives etc. I love driving past there, it smells amazing 🤤

I’ve got the club cards, no it dosent cost anything, plus if you get your petrol at their garages you can use your points card, so when Christmas comes I get all my Christmas food on my different club cards so I hardly spend anything. I’ve got most of the club cards as I shop at all the supermarket pts throughout the year
