Ge means older male person kinda like the Korean term Hyung. So they necessarily don’t have to be blood relatives for someone to call them Ge, as long as they respect that person as an elder and have a close relationship. A lot of mafia series you will also hear or see Da Ge used a lot, that is normally referring to Big Brother/Big Boss.
