For the record I’m pretty sure the king only called Zee his grandson to show their closeness, as he’s been trained as a guard his whole life. That or, if he’s a child of another family, he calls all the children of the four families his grandchildren because he’s the ‘head’ so to speak. I don’t think they’re actually related by blood. The royals are more a clan now, made up of multiple families.
