"Who The Hell Is..."

Here is a preview of a little video that Peter has been working on. It is hoped this could be the first of a set of videos that we could publish on the ERB2 YouTube channel. The series would be called "Who The Hell Is..."
The basic concept is to take a character from history who might not be super well known by the general public and craft a short rap about them. For this first video we chose Robespierre - a rather controversial character from the French Revolution.
At this stage we aren't sure if we will stick with this straight to camera style recording or actually record the audio properly. Maybe we will publish both types of video. Not sure yet.
Would you like to see more of these sprinkled throughout the year? Should we record the audio properly or keep it minimal? Any thoughts or ideas you have - please let us know in the comments.
Talk soon. HM

More of this, please. I liked so much that I want the audio cleanest as possible. You're awesome.

Would love if you did someone involved in the Irish Easter Rising, like Pádraig MacPhiarsaigh, or Éamonn De Valera.

Amazing! Yes, definitely more! Loved the improvisational feel of the straight-to-camera but the lyrics are so good that I for one wouldn't mind a proper audio recording 😎

This reminds me of Mussolini Miscellanies by Zach Sherwin FKA MC Mr. Napkins. If you could get him on 12 tracks about historical figures I’d buy that album.

I'm still hoping to see Copernicus in a rap battle someday.

Who in the hell is: * Emmy Noether? * Stanislav Petrov? * Archimedes of Syracuse? * Johnny Appleseed? * Harald Gormsson? * Chandragupta Maurya? * Christiaan Huygens? * Hannibal of Carthage? (Since you've already covered Lechter 😋)

A quick history lesson rap followed by a minute of improvised ad-libbing on death picnics and heads in buckets vs. heads in baskets. I love this new series.

Probably a good idea for whenever you receive a matchup suggestion involving a more obscure character. If you think the matchup is cool, but the audience won't take to it because they don't know the character. Do this to prime them up

Love the idea! Can't wait for "Who the hell is Nice Peter" and "Who the hell is EpicLLOYD"

This is a GREAT idea. So many interesting historical people to talk about. Since US politics will be super bonkers for the next 4(ish) years, I need many distractions. Please make lots and lots and lots of these. LOTS.

This is a really nice educational idea! I’d keep the format the same, being a smaller production helps differentiate it from the ERBs and feels more natural.

Finally, the video is here! Well done Pete for the experimentation! Robespierre is a favourite candidate of mine for an ERB, and hopefully he gets one one day! Peace, Tempest, your favourite Aussie Patron

I love this idea. History class would have been way more fun if I could've learned about historical figures this way and I would probably remember more. I still remember facts from the They Might Be Giants song Why Does The Sun Shine.
