I don't know if anyone has actually named the term. What it and other things like it (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Restless Leg Syndrome, Low-T, etc) represent are names that someone has given to hypochondria over the years so they can be paid by the insurance companies to treat it and so they can make pills for it. No insurance company is going to keep paying for visits and specialists for general anxiety disorder, but if you call it "Shoemaker's Syndrome"...

Is Shoemaker's Syndrome a mondegreen for a legitimate medical term? I couldn't think of any anxiety syndrome that would fall close to that mondegreen's fairway.
