The President Who Saved the World

Ike is now my second favorite President, and I'm come to this conclusion after spending a considerable amount of time reading books about him (check my sources in the description and footnotes) and visiting to his presidential library and museum twice (2019 and 2022, which I document in the video).
We need another Ike! We are long overdue for that kind of leadership.
Thank you for your continued support of my videos!

I agree

I would argue the last time we had two "reasonably good" back-to-back US Presidents from opposing political parties would be between Republican Eisenhower and Democrat Kennedy... Long time ago man. 1960.
Mr. Beat
Glad you dig him. It's amazing how uniting of a figure he is.

Ike was definitely an impressive figure. His leadership on WWII, civil rights issues and the interstate highway system are damn fine accomplishments. I learned a lot from this video and liked how he did not surround himself with his cronies in his cabinet.
Mr. Beat
Ohh I see. Thanks for clarifying that

I apologize Mr beat I meant the word denomination. When I think of denominations I think of a single tree with many branches. Branches are denominations. You can argue with how you define chistian there are at least six trees, trinitarian, trinitarian, oneness, dualist, Arian (jw's would be this), Mormon. These trees being fully separate with there own denominations springing from them.
Mr. Beat
I could do another tier list perhaps? My rankings seem to be constantly changing these days. But I see what you're saying. I'll consider it. :)
Mr. Beat
Weird indeed!
Mr. Beat
This is not true. The fact is, THEY consider themselves Christian. It's other Christian denominations that say they are not Christian.
Devin Canada
since you did your second favorite id love to see you cover your first and then all presidents in order from favorite too least.
Devin Canada
isnt it weird how two of the best presidents in the US are attached to two of the worst. Cooledge and Ike attached to Harding and Nixon.

Jehovah witnesses are not considered a denomination of Christian because of their rejection of the trinity and for being a tight nit cult. (ie when they excomunicate someone that person can even loose their job if their boss is a JW)

I get where you’re coming from with that, although he was generally just “spiritual” rather than religious. Things like “In God We Trust” doesn’t need to specifically be the Abrahamic one. That was probably their intent though I’d assume
Mr. Beat
Thank you Gerry. I didn't realize you were so young! 🙂

Well done. It’s videos like this that make me glad I support you. I was born in ‘47 so Ike was my first president and I remember him well.
Mr. Beat
I agree with you that his bringing religion more into government was problematic. My understanding is that he did it strategically to guide foreign perceptions of the USSR. In other words, "don't join those atheist Russians, join us."

I think Ike is the closest we got to another George Washington. My biggest gripe with him is him bringing religion more into government by changing out motto and putting it all over our currency. I wish he hadn't done that.
Mr. Beat
lol

40 minutes? Someone really likes Ike. Well, everyone likes Ike Your kids are adorable btw
Mr. Beat
Some of them probably talked about it, but I don't think there was ever any big movement for it

I was told in high school republicans wanted to abolish the 22nd amendment to allow Ike to run a 3rd time, that true?
