The aircraft was in perfect working order, the weather was calm, and the pilots had been talking to air traffic control. The flight was supposed to take less than 45 minutes, yet the aircraft never reached its destination. To this day, the incident is shrouded in mystery, yet the few facts that are known, paint a picture so shocking, that it is frankly hard to believe. This is the story of Varig flight 254.
