I'll figure out if and how a perks makes sense in WH metaphysics on a case by case basis, especially godhood. No I'm not removing WH perks from the lists. I do know about Yggdrasil edition, that's the one I'm using. For metals, he has the benefit of Federation-level understanding of material science, so he'll only need the means to recreate an atomic structure. That said, a fantasy metal that's actually half magic like 'reproduces if put in contact with x' that'll be a different matter requiring more research.

With divinity are all the same, or will it take into account the different settings way of divinity. By that I mean in some it is becoming a representation of a fundamental aspect of the universe, in some it is just immense power, in some it is reliant on faith, in some it is self sustaining, while in other it’s not divinity but will allow you to reach it through a different path (espers from index). For demigod, would he become a demigod through a ritual or something to be related to the god mentioned in the perk? With otherworldly metals, would he learn to make them and be able to, or would he be locked out till he gains another power that allows him to transmute them (with his current knowledge and powers he can already transmute most things if not anything, but not in large quantities). Will you remove Warhammer Fantasy, and Warhammer 40/40k from the CF and the CG? It makes more sense not to add them since they are part of the world and can just learn them through experience (or already knows them). Plus there are a few like mark of X chaos god he would likely not want. Btw a few months ago someone revamped the CG, and named it Celestial Grimoire Yuggdrasil iirc. The first CG was mostly stuff from Warhammer Fantacy and a few other setting rather than as expansive as the CF (even v1). On a side note, any perk related to Fallen London will grant a lot of knowledge rather than the limited stuff you get from just an item. Which is broken, and by that I mean reality will be broken, granted it will also be a lot harder to make it on his own with the item.

Exactly. Prices already don't reflect perk utility all that well, divinity is free in some settings but super expensive in others, for example. I'll use my own judgment for overpowered stuff. Perks based on external resources like spiral power might not be that good in a setting without it, for instance. And the planeswalker spark is definitely something he'd need to work to a long time, since he doesn't already have it.

The way you described how the perks will work can be weaker in some cases (and as you said make some perks just not work), but in some cases a free perk, or if you make it cost 50 or a 100 (and I mean the perks that are free not the additional perks some authors use), and the lowest cost ones would be insanely strong. Like in some settings you could get an item for 50cp but while it is readily available in the setting (maybe from a lost civilisation), learning how to make it would give you knowledge more than all the perks in that jump combined. Another thing I want to enquire on is would he now be able to give those powers to others if he knows how to induce them? Granted there is a final fantasy perk, even in CF v1 that lets you give power systems to others. Btw in the above question I am more talking about extreme things, like a Planeswalker Spark, or Spiral Energy. You could make it so the method requires such a hard thing to achieve (when you include the prerequisites, steps, and maybe the person needing to do it themselves not other do it), and a chance of failure in some cases that could lead to death that would balance that out.

Not an easy thing to do, but as with all things, nothing is truly impossible.

I love Warhammer fics, I love celestial forge fics and I love how you justify the existence of one in the other.

Sebastian Pop

That's the idea.

Dale 6rar

Is he going back to 40k later?

Adam Daw

Yet another super cool concept.
