Patreon's January 2016 Glitch
🕑 Added 2016-01-04 20:54:29 +0000 UTC I'm not sure how prevalent of a problem this is, or how far the word has already spread, but Patreon's latest glitch has been something of a widespread issue!Those of you who keep track of these things know that this month, creators have noticed a noticeable and very worrisome drop in their total pledge amount. DotL's page itself has gone from around $730 to $670, which causes me far more anxiety and stress than I would care to admit.
This is due to an issue with processing your payment - I'm not sure of the hows and whys, but if you've noticed that your account is giving you trouble, please let me know, and double check your account information.
I'm trying very hard not to be too worried about it - Patreon has had its issues in the past, but has always dealt with them in a very prompt and kindly manner. I don't think this will be any different.

Solidarity, sister. I have the same problem. Not only are a few supporters pledges NOT going through, it turns out that my pledge for those same people (in half the cases) are not going through. Way lame. I saw from Patreon's twitter that they're on it, so all should be good. They've been good about fixing things thus far.

Is this that new reporting scheme they're doing where they are now reporting how much you earn after they take out fees? Or is this spmething new? Also, that double e-mail confirmation is, I believe, those paid by credit card vs those paid by PayPal.

Yeah, I think it's safe to assume that your payment went through since you got... you know... the confirmation email. Thanks for being such a consistent supporter, man.

I got an email saying that all my pledges went through, and it listed all the creators that I supported. Granted, the list was divided up into two emails *shrugs*, but I'm guessing it means that mine went through. I'm also hazarding a guess that not receiving such email means the payment didn't go through.
