Well, with Patreon's cut and the declined pledges every month, it's not an unusual thing, unfortunately. But heck, I'm not complaining. Even with the stuff I do get I'm able to pay most of my bills!

Man, that would be such a great thing to add. I didn't even think of that. We need Patreon to get on that right after they figure out how to charge people's cards the second they actually pledge so they can get their rewards right away.

Patreon declined to take my money again this month, so that may be the problem. Once I added a new card (ie the same one) they decided to take my money this evening. Unfortunately you won't be getting anything from me until next month because I only pledged on the 2nd.

Hah. Yeah, I was just looking that up myself. Glad I am not the only one inclined towards research around here. Makes sense-I was thinking closer to 10% would be more reasonable. The information I was looking at said 5% Patreon, 4% transaction fees, and sometimes deposit charges. Still, rather large chunk left over and above that. Kind of silly of me not to account for that-I might go and up my amount a little to reflect Patreon's fees.

I'd say close to 8-12% in fees, and the remaining in "Insufficient Funds" from the patrons.

I don't think it will be easy to track this down. Patreon takes 5% according to one support question I saw. Then Other fees from the payment methods range from 2%-5% and some have fixed rates on top of that. Then there's those who didn't have enough funds and therefore did not get charged.

That's over 20% in fees, if it is fees. Is that normal?

The problem patrly being that tiers are based on pledged amount (624 now) and.. Patreon takes it's own slice I guess. and possibly "deleted pledges" If I thought they could do it, I would suggest alternate counting like "I want the creator to get this much, add fees on my side" choice but with random website issues persisting for 4 months now (home page missing updates) I don't hold high hopes for that even if it was brought up.
