I love the detail of her flipping to the next page, in silent horror of what this author thinks of her people. Like its such a nice touch to show how deeply this is effecting her, the pure silence. And Brent, bless his soul, picks up on it. By this point, shes pretty much punishing her own mental health by continuing to read it, so Brent throwing it into the fire was a good move
