Maskless Thistle is EVERYTHING SO ADORABLE
I don't think she is having an epiphany - the material in her nightmares + Master Wu straight-up calling her what she is takes care of that. I think she knows she's supposed to be a wizard, but is so wrapped up in her own self-hatred that she's convinced there's been some kind of mistake, or that she's not worthy of it so she has to pretend like she's not.
