47 - The Octopus 1: The Perfect Spy

It was stolen by the US government and allegedly distributed to clients around the world with a secret "back door" surveillance modification. The Inslaw Affair is, for many people, the Rosetta Stone of modern American conspiracy, a high tech Watergate. Before we get truly out there, myself and the mysterious Mr Benjamin Ghazi are going to use this opening episode to really get to grips with what PROMIS actually did, why it was worth stealing, and, just maybe, why it was worth killing for.

‘Justice is about the process- not the outcome.’ This is the fundamental truth of governance and bureaucracy in the creation of faith in the state as the social capital that defines value in a fiat currency.

Promise works like Salesforce. Different inputs tied to unique identifiers of people, allowing behavioral profiles.

Best run-down of PROMIS that I’ve yet to encounter, and it’s just begun. Can’t wait to hear the rest. Great work man!
