Has Arioch said romance is going to be part of the story? The comic thus far has been PG, but it's easy to imagine a different version with bonus scenes (e.g. page 47). PS definitely on Team Fireblade here.

Talon seems pretty transparent - she's a pilot who knows her limitations and was perfectly happy, eager even, to put herself under Alex's command. Tempo by contrast has radiated shifty diplomat vibes from her first appearance.

Personally, I suspect that he's going to wind up with Beryl, Tempo, AND Fireblade. Considering how rare males are in their society, such an arrangement would not be all THAT strange. Especially as Humans seem to have a slightly higher body temperature than these ladies, and they DO seem to like warmth...

Interesting that this suggests Alex trusts Beryl specifically. I suppose Tempo is harder to trust and he likely doesn't know Talon well enough. Beryl has been pretty transparent and more directly involved with him.
