The original premise that Stillstorm had proceeded upon was that Alex and the Belarmine were some Umiak 'trick' because of how fantastically Unique and Uncannily 'creepy' Valley Alex and all the recovered Human corpses were to the Loroi at least on the surface physically... when NO other races in ALL the loroi history like humaniti had EVER been encountered before ~ left most of the Tempest Crew suspicious of when 'Alex' would turn on them and reveal his "True" chitin as a Umiak insidious plot. However, Alex has waged war on the Umiak, actually engaged in personal combat with the Enemy, led the handful of Loroi in battle when their leadership was disabled ~ both Tempo and Fireblade and has made a way for the Loroi to escape capture or worse by the Enemy... all while injured himself. A definite shift in how the Loroi view and treat Alex is happening... here. ACTIONS speak far more Louder then words. And as I've said before... Alex has always been attracted to Fireblade's beauty and power... whose action also speak louder then anything she ... does not say. Alex and Fireblade definitely share a bond... of some sort... and its growing.
