Bad news and explanation

Usually we try to burn the midnight oil to try and always hit our estimate, even if we miss it by a few hours but this time I must say it's likely that we miss it by 1 or at worst case scenario two days.
Sunday, we've had a blackout in the area and I lost many hours of work, it was disheartening but it was a stepback, I still had hope to do a late 27 release.
Today it was far worse. I got a call early in the morning that my mom wasn't looking okay and I rushed to my parent's house. My mom was in catatonic state, mouth open, breathing with difficulty and her eyes fixed on the ceiling not following any movement or showing recognition of anyone.
Most of you know my mom is paralyzed in a bed with a neurodegenerative disease and my dad has cancer, they're old and they've been in very dire health conditions. While generally this doesn't cause issues or delays (they kinda indirectly do but, you know) today I honestly believed I was going to lose my mother. God knows the first time I looked at her I thought she was dead already.
Long story short, rushed in the ambulance to the hospital, and fortunately the doctors think it's just a pneumonia and she will recover whatever little functions she had. Recognition, limited speak, not ideal but definitely better than being in a life threatening situation in vegetable mode.
I thought about it at length in the past. How would I react? And how would I react if it happened in crunch time near a patch release? Could I push myself through to work on my game? In the past working on my game has helped me move my mind away from my parents family issues so, will it support me or will I be too broken to work?
Truth is, when I thought I lost my mom today I just couldn't react, when I found out, I had been up for 26 hours working on the patch and it's now been 32 hours since I've slept for the last time. My nervous system has almost shutdown between exhaustion and honestly, negation. I haven't spent this much time without sleeping possibly in the last decade.
I'm unable to think whatsoever at this moment, let alone write the Kinky Kittens grope scenes. I hope you guys have it in your hearts to forgive the first real delay in two years, I will keep you updated and I will work tirelessly to try and hit the deadline or if unable, the day after.
As always, good times and bad, thank you so much for your support! And for those who decide to withdraw the support, I understand, if we release it past midnight of the 28th just message us and we'll still send you the patch v0.91.

Family comes FIRST Starke, I lost my dad in 2015, who suffered a massive heart attack and was unresponsive... being the oldest, my mother and two brothers left the decision to me and after three days of scans, talking with doctors, we said our goodbyes and I had them pull the plug. My point is this... you are at a point where you are going to have to make decisions about the care of your parents and to do so, you will need a clear head... FREE of outside worries! Take the time you need to give them the attention and care that you need to, free of outside worries. WE WILL BE HERE... WE WILL WAIT... don't add further stress and worry on your plate. My thoughts and prayers for you and your family... and if you ever need to talk or vent, I will be here for you, my friend! 👏❤️ ~Jack

I can wait a few extra days for a release I supported the Kickstarter of a game that took 3 years before I got my hands on it. Your health and your parents health take priority over porn.

*inhales deeply* STARKE BOOOOOIIIIII Dis what I'm talking about. You gotta take it easy. Y'all doing enough work and everyone knows you're putting in the time and effort.. Well.. Most of us know. Having deadlines and expectations is good for work productivity but there's a bunch of us that prefer a community. You're gonna burn yourself out if you keep forcing yourself into work when there's too much emotional stuff going on. Take it easy fam! (. •̀ㅁ•́ )👌

I mean, I like my lewd material as much as the next guy, but I'd sure as shit hope people have a bigger heart than to prioritize porn over people. Take care of the homefront first and foremost, we should be good until then.
