It's weird to think that there are still a few people alive now for whom this was just the map on the classroom wall. Also to think of how much misery has resulted from these arbitrary lines. ... wow, I'm in a mood. It really is cursed!

I suppose one might see it as a comfort that the map at least doesn't have to include Cecil Rhodes stretching from one end of the contintent to the other? :)
