Ah the GT6, leak more oil than a Harley Davidson and just about as safe in a crash. Least they are fun to drive.

I have a friend who likes to restore old British cars. There are even multiple British car clubs up here in Saskatchewan! Who would have thought? Definitely a different world.

Excellent. I just miss the Saturday upload where I have the time to watch the video and read the comments during the weekend...

A spent some time in England in the early 1990s. I spent a lot of it helping American friends figure out their British vehicles.

That's a pretty strange looking clapped out pickup truck.

As a Land Rover owner, I can share this feeling. The cure is setting your wallet on fire and drowning in whiskey.
Jeffrey Burdess
Oh man!

I feel your pain, I’ve got a 1971 MGBGT, and a 1963 MGB.

Fantastic Wes! I'm impressed that you fit in it, don't think I would! I'm sure you mastered it, the engines share heritage with the old grey Massey Fergussons so they aren't anything fancy that's for sure. I think the US cars had Stromberg carbs fitted, I hope they didn't give you too much trouble the SU carburettors are much better in my opinion. The Triumph 2000, and 2500 MK2 (sedans, wagons / saloons, estates) with a 2L or 2.5L straight 6 engine were assembled here in NZ and as a result were fairly popular, they came out with "PI" Pressure Injection mechanical fuel injected version as well which was one of the first mass produced fuel injected cars... you can imagine how reliable it was. I have converted them to electronic fuel injection before, with the individual throttle bodies a nice exhaust and a hot cam, they sound fantastic! Triumph also had a GT6 which was essentially a Spitfire with the 6 cylinder engine in it, a popular conversion for owners wanting more power was to drop the 6cyl engine in.

Just remember it's across the pond so all left-hand threads.

Look forward to it

Hood badge says Spitfire :) And the Alfa grills are pretty distinctive... can't wait to see the wiring diagram reviews for this video... 'cause you know there's gonna be some wiring issues :)
Blake Field
Looking forward to a lengthy sidebar regarding Whitworth threads.

We used to make some good looking cars back in the day if you overlook reliability and rot lol. The MG B also has a similar look.
Adam McKnight
And they never really got any better.

I was wondering about the model, but it resembles an Alfa Romeo Spider.

Take all your metric, AF, BSF, BSW, offset, open end, box spanners with you. You will need them !!
