If you're ever looking to replace that tired little bandsaw, you should look into a cold cut saw. I have the Dewalt one, it'll pound through a 2" angle in about 5 seconds, make straight cuts all day long and aren't expensive for what you get.

Watch Wes Work

Miller is one of the best companies I have ever seen for supporting old equipment.

scottgm321

In today’s throw away world, it’s cool that you can still get parts for your old welder. Glad you got it running good. Thanks for the video.

Curtis Roberts

Looks fine to me. It difficult to make them all beautiful if you don't do it every day but I bet they don't break.

Watch Wes Work

It's always been a better welder than me.

Watch Wes Work

I worry these "build" videos kinda boring, so I've been trying to sort of script out a "story" around them. That helps. But mostly I've given up sleeping...

Curtis Roberts

Nicely done. Seems like the welder is running tip top now.

David Yates

That stencil tip is worth the price of admission alone. The videos are really top quality now Wes, not sure it's possible but I'd really be interested in how you've stepped up your game in this area.

Watch Wes Work

Might be a hard sell!

Watch Wes Work

We haven't gotten any yet this year. Not sure why.

Watch Wes Work

I should have put it in the video. I might upload a new version.

Watch Wes Work

I try. It comes at the cost of output.

Watch Wes Work

I don't want my lungs to look like my boots.

Chris

Better welder than me

CapnMac82

Dunno, seemed like Max was more unhappy about not being out hunting the squirrels. :-)

CapnMac82

We are an odd bunch, the ship modelers, especially :D

Bill Scott

New product line?

Looks great! The welding also looked very nice on this side of the camera. One suggestion, it would have been nice to see something heavy, like a skid steer bucket or two, sitting on these things at the end :)

James

Great video and feel like there’s been a big up tick in quality thanks Wes for the humor and all around great content. Best wishes to you and your fam

WILLIAM gilbert

Your welding is getting better. Safety measure(s) with the spray painting was Excellent.

Watch Wes Work

I've tied stencils a few times before and this is the best it has ever come out.

Watch Wes Work

I calculated bending stress for the beam and legs. I didn't check the shear or buckling, but we should be fine (famous last words).

Watch Wes Work

Miller is really good about support. They will give you free tech support over the phone for ancient welders. They helped me fix a portable that was 30+ years old recently.

Max Chaplin

Thanks for the stencil tip Wes. The sawhorses do indeed look 'fancy'!

Eric Corse

Man they turned out fantastic, that yellow paint color reminds me of the zinc chromate primer I used ~50 years ago. Did you actually crunch some numbers to determine the weight ratings?

Chris Freemesser

How soon until we can buy a set of those fab sawhorses in your merch shop for $69.99? :D Seriously, color me impressed that you can still get factory parts for a welder built in 1979. I can't get parts to fix a laptop built in 2021

Bill Rutherford

So sad you didn't use some White and "Miller Blue" on the old workhorse. I know you just love painting! :-)

Watch Wes Work

Give me a few weeks...

David G King

Nice job Wes! They look too nice to use!

Chris Jenkins

No worries Wes, totally understand the extra ass pain associated with international shipping! Have a great weekend 👍

brian cook

Watching three of my favorite you tubers in one video vice grip, dirt perfect and www

Watch Wes Work

I watched some of that. He practically wore out a welder on that job.

Watch Wes Work

That Miller will still be welding long after I'm dead.

Watch Wes Work

Maybe if we get caught up we can. Actually, Canada is pretty easy. It's Europe that is not fun at all.

Tim Allan

When putting on grips on bars and handle bars use hair spray as a lubricant, when it dries it secures the grip firmly and unlike soap won't come unstuck if it the grips get wet. Have a look at allistairc123 on youtube for extreme welding, his last job used a 180kg (400lbs) of wire.

John B Moore

Cool! The Miller welder is practically a restored OEM unit, the saw horses came out nice, and I got to see your CNC table cut painter's tape for labels.

Chris Jenkins

Hopefully the Canadians among us can order a logo plate soon... Eh!? 😆 Cheers Wes👍

Watch Wes Work

They aren't too bad. About 25lbs each.

Peter Church

They look great! May have to use your fully depreciated truck to move them from job to job but at least they aren't death traps now 😋

Watch Wes Work

Thank those fussy model builders.

James Riordan

Tuscan Sun 😍 The technique for spray painting stencils is news to me - came out really well. Definitely using next time
