glad to see you guys are enjoying this k-drama. it is different from what you guys are used to, but I would say it's a pretty good representation for what a standard very good K-drama is. the cinematography is especially good in this one. there are a lot of gems like this one out there. it was really well praised for bringing awareness to different mental disorders. Extraordinary Attorney Woo is also one of them, and I'm glad you guys are going to watch that one next

sangtae was born autistic but the death of his mom really gave him trauma hence the butterfly nightmares. but yes gangtae has been caring for sangtae ever since he was just a child :(

Also to clear up the last name thing, in Korean culture, women usually keep their father's last name even after marriage. So Ko Mun Yeong and her father have the same last name but her mother's last name is different because traditionally a woman will always keep their father's last name. Also, Sang-tae is and was born autistic.

also "Ok Hospital" sounds lame but the name is even lamer in korean. 괜찮아 is the adjective and it means "decent/ok". its closer translated to "decent hospital". what a horrible name for a hospital lmao, couldn't even be "good hospital"

The note munyeong writes on the book not only addresses sangtae as "sangtae oppa", but she also writes it in a grammatically incorrect but cutesy manner teenagers or youthful koreans often use for flirting. (ends her sentences with 용/옴 instead of 요) she also refers to herself in third-person, which is another cutesy thing koreans like to do. what's funny about this is while the message she writes is pretty adorable, munyeong's voice over is serious and so matter-of-fact. there's no cutesy intonation people would normally use. which i love because it's true to her character and just hilarious plus sometimes the whole baby talk and aegyo thing is cringey
