I think this ep showed how parents love their kids. Though they express it in ways that don't reach a child's heart ei showing physical and verbal affection, playing with them, being fair and just between siblings, and not burdening them with responsibility especially if you won't reward them.

i think moonyoung’s books just resonates with gangtae bc they both had a really dark childhood and their trauma centers around the way they were raised and the lack of love from their parents, we even see the assembly man’s son in a flashback when gangtae was reading zombie kid bc his story fits with it as well. Moonyoung’s stories maybe too graphic for a children’s book but a lot of what she writes is relatable esp for people who felt like they were neglected/abused while growing up

this episode is so heartbreaking! i think this is the first time we see both of them showing this much emotion… esp the way moonyoung was affected by gangtae calling her “an empty can” and the way she just stayed laying there crying/smiling after her dad choked her… shit is so sad honestly :( even tho she appears cold on the surface you can tell she’s really broken on the inside…
