exactly!! it was a bad position for them both. they're best friends. they know each other best. i know anthony is a handful right now but he's not a villain in the story. he genuinely doesn't want anyone to be hurt but just is very loyal to the concept of duty and doing what's right

yea you guys are right about the duke's unresolved trauma being the main issue here lmao, ik therapy or coping skills weren't a thing during the regency era, but I do wish he would at least try to work through some of it. and btw this is my first time watching season 1 so I didn't realize how insufferable anthony's character is here, but my god is he SOO much more likable (and attractive) in season two, like the character development is there just wait frππ
