Yes you guys need to react to Top Gun Maverick! It’s probably my favorite movie I saw in 2022, I saw it in the theater 4 times.

I’m so happy that they put pride and prejudice at the bottom. I really really disliked this movie. They showed absolutely no chemistry in that movie and the progression of their relationship was off to me. I’m glad I’m not the only one.

This was so much fun, and you guys did a great job! I appreciate that your tiers are actually really balanced and that you were honest and didn't throw everything in B above! There are a lot of your older reactions that I haven't watched yet and a lot of these movies that I've either not seen or that I've watched so long ago that I forget, so it was fun to start a list of ones that you guys really liked so I can go back and check them out. Even though Pride and Prejudice is one of my favorite movies, and I think it's well-made as far as the cinematography and script goes, I completely understand and respect that you guys hated it. Haha. I was pleasantly surprised that you liked Twilight and some of the rom-coms as well as you did. Hopefully the new process of choosing movies means that you'll get to watch more things that you enjoy. And I hope you decide to do this again in the future. Now onto the TV series!

Oh, it is a great book. They'd hate the book too. I am sure of it. The movie is even a bit watered down. The book is full frontal period drama. I think for them, the genre is the issue.

I find your take on pride and prejudice so interesting because I love everything about it, I love the book, I love the movie, I love even just the premise of it. But I also just love movies and tv shows in general so I think you are totally right, if you have to read the book to appreciate the movie, the movie is not doing what it should do. I also totally disagree with who said you would enjoy it more if you read the book because it is a very strong time piece meaning the language, style, everything is for a dialog with an audience from the time it was published. Off course there are things we can relate to the present time but even the pace of the book is different from the books we have today of same genre and similar plots. Maybe you could appreciate it for what it is but I don’t think you would like it as an entertaining reading, does that make sense? I would recommend modern adaptations of it though just for the fun of it. One that is kind of different from everything else is Pride, Prejudice and Zombies. Anyway I think I will rewatch the movie and try to see it from your perspective (like I needed an excuse to watch pride and prejudice again 😝)

When I first watched EEAO I hated it so much. But when I rewatched it, I liked it a lot more. Maybe Zuff should give it one more chance lol

No, the movie isn't bad at all. I liked it. Of course I'm team 1995 version all day, but the movie was good for what it is. The acting is great as well. I do think it works best in a miniseries or episodic format.

The movie is critically acclaimed, it’s in no way shape or form as good as the book- but far from a bad movie in my humble opinion lol. The way Rob cringed at Zuff’s EEAO takes is how I feel with how much they don’t like P&P LOL. But hey to each their own 😅

I want to say this in the best way. Period dramas are not for everyone. I mean the real ones, not your Bridgertons. The humor is different. The flirting is different. If you are not familiar with the era or the literature, it can be a lot. My sis and I had a chat about this earlier. Austen writes heavy from and for the female perspective. A lot of men don't get it. A lot of people aren't interested. It is what it is. I've read a bit of British literature and seen many, many British movies, miniseries, etc. I grew up in a house where that was entertainment. It's a good book and yes, there are better adaptations, but let's be real. I don't think they would have liked any other adaptation either. It's just not every person's thing. It is what it is. Also, I'm gonna side eye The Lovely Bones and Twilight love and the complete disrespect for The Craft. 😂

I loved this video! It was super fun to see your true opinions on these movies. Something I really appreciate about you guys is that you can still have fun and make awesome content with all of the movies you watch, even the ones you aren’t a fan of. I found myself mostly agreeing with Rob and Bryce, but that Anastasia one stung😂 I get why Zuff wasn’t a fan of EEAAO, but I genuinely think it’s because he doesn’t understand it lmao that was me at first too.
