The "GR" on George's bed means "George Rex". Rex means king. The Kings and Queens all have their symbol as their first initial, their number (if there are multiple with the same name), and then "R," which stands for Rex or Regina (latin for King and Queen). For example, Queen Elizabeth II's symbol was "EiiR"
