Did I miss something in the vid? The only negative thing said was Rob calling him a "rude reporter". Can't imagine anyone thinking Trent's 'question' wasn't rude considering it was an introductory press conference when Ted hadn't done anything wrong at that point.

I don’t know if anyone has already said this to you guys, but Ted Lasso actually started as an NBC commercial from years ago as their way of promoting that they were going to be airing Premier League games. The premise is similar, Lasso is an American football coach but he’s going to the UK to coach the Tottenham Hotspurs.

When you're a reporter that gets full team access you're expected to have a little bit of decorum when you ask your question. You'd never see a real life reporter end a question with "Is this a fucking joke?". You'd probably never be invited back for another press conference if it was real life.

This episode still remains one of my favorites! I love that Ted went to the restaurant just because his chauffeur recommended his place to him. He’s too wholesome for this world 🥹 You also start to see more of who Roy is, and he’s definitely one of the best characters. Loving your reactions to this!
