Tamil (Rajinikanth): Annaamalai (Action/Drama - 1992), Baashha (Action/Gangster - 1995), Padayappa (Family Action/Drama - 1999). These are a taste of some of the popular Masala/Drama Rajinikanth films that elevated him to Superstar status.

Thiruvilayaadal, Karnan and Pasamalar are good movies

For a watch along I would do Seeta Aur Geeta, starring Hema Malini and Sanjeev Kumar. Its a fun Rom Com, Also The Burning Train starring Dharmendra and a host of other stars. It was India"s adventure Disaster flick ala Towering Inferno or Poseidan Adventure. Both those movies can be found on Youtube with subs. They might be on streaming too.

Sivaji Ganesan Movies are good classic movies.

Good choice esp nana patekar 👍

Jane bhi do yaaron was shoestring budget and cringe production value even when it was released. It is iconic for other reasons and it is one of those that won't work as well for a watchalong.

I see where you are coming from, and some elements in some movies that got a pass in the past may seem cringe now... so a strong filter is needed. But there are definitely some movies that will pass muster like Anand 1971 : Amitabh Bachhan + Rajesh Khanna Parinda 1989 : Jackie Shroff + Anil Kapoor + Madhuri Dixit Damini 1993 : Sunny Deol + Meenakshi Sheshadri Jo Jeeta wohi Sikander 1992 : Amir Khan + Ayesha Jhulka + Deepak Tijori + Pooja Bedi

Movies that are timeless / have aged well and would work well for a watchalong Anand 1971 : Amitabh Bachhan + Rajesh Khanna Parinda 1989 : Jackie Shroff + Anil Kapoor + Madhuri Dixit Damini 1993 : Sunny Deol + Meenakshi Sheshadri Jo Jeeta wohi Sikander 1992 : Amir Khan + Ayesha Jhulka + Deepak Tijori + Pooja Bedi

At this point Mohabbatein is a classic right? Everyone in it is post menopausal. Even the men.

Hindi: For review only - 'Saaransh'. I just feel this is the best Hindi movie ever made. Rick will love this. Directed by Mahesh Bhatt (Alia's dad) and starring Anupam Kher and Sonia Razdan (Alia's mother).

Movie: Chitram (Photograph) - A woman hires a stranger to pose as her husband because she doesn't want her ailing father to know that her fiance broke their engagement. Trivia: Holds the record as the longest-running Malayalam film. Great watchalong. Mohanlal: If SRK is known for romance, Mohanlal is known for comedy, but this is the only one I can think of that a foreigner could grasp easily.
Princess consuela banana fuck
Gundamma katha(1962) With sr.NTR and savitri
Priyamvada Charde
Marathi comedy movie - Ashi hi Banwa Banwi (1988) (watch along or review either) FYI Jimmy Cage really enjoyed this movie

”Padayappa” starring Rajinikanth and Ramya Krishnan! This movie also had the late great actor Sivaji in his last role before passing away.
Ankit Sharma
Amitabh Bacchan's SHARABI

Dilip Kumar's Devdas, it's been over two years since you've seen any of his films.
Nitin Jain
Ghayal (1990, Sunny Deol) Shakti (1982, Amitabh Bachchan, Dilip Kumar)
Diya Bhattacharya
Only for review, not watch along: Bandini (1963) Sujata (1959) You really NEED TO get to Nutan (Kajol’s aunt and thousand times more talented than she ever could be) and Bimal Roy movies. These will never get upvotes but you must explore these (just like parallel cinema, Rituparno Ghosh movies, etc.) if you’re into Indian cinema.

This is our money. It’s like paying tax (Lagaan), except that it’s voluntary. We need our value for money. I’m not begging I’m demanding.

Oh boy we woke today and chose violence I see.. 🤦🏾♀️😶

They have seen bhul bhuliya which is a remake of Manichitratazhu the Malayalam classic
Meena Malhotra
From 1960's TEESRI MANZIL....great songs, Helen's dancing and great mystery story!

As long as Korbin sticks to what he says, then yes, feel free to ask anything. Otherwise it makes no sense. I feel it’s waste of time even suggesting. There’s no point engaging people in unnecessary chatter when you don’t value their time. It’s insulting. People have been asking for Malayalam watch along for years. No response. For Bengali watch alongs no response. For Made in Heaven watch along no response. Then why do you even ask?

Also Swatikiranam with Mammootty and radhika ( she's the actor who played Vijay sethupatis mom the cop)
Crazydiamond
The black and white Telugu classics are easier to review but hey definitely hold up as watchalongs. I recommend velugu needalu with savitri and anr.
Mamata Tillu
They have seen monsoon wedding and hey ram

If you consider old classic, then Thiruvilayadal (Hindu Mythological)- Sivaji Ganesan acted. You guys already reacted couple of songs and loved it.
Divya
MUST REVIEW: - Hey Ram (Kamal Hassan & Rani Mukherjee) - Zubeida (Karishma Kapoor & Manoj Bajpayee) - Monsoon Weddings (Nasser shah, Shefali shah, Vijay Raaz, Tilotama, Lilette Dubey) - Mr & Mrs Iyer (Rahul Bose & Kokana Sen Sharma)

I'll always recommend Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak aka QSQT 😊

Both would be great !

It's unreal that you've not done a single Amitabh Bachchan watch-along yet. You can pick any of his classics. My favorites are Agneepath, Sharaabi, Satte Pe Satta, etc. for a watch-along.
Guna Sekar
Thillu Mullu is a good option for watchalong classics...
MayaR
Mathilukal ( Mammooty) 1990 It’s a classic in Malayalam movie terms 😬 https://youtu.be/6JH2yFiF1Jw?si=0LIPSBD9yYLVBrBM
Namra Hasan
Please watch Hum Aapke Hai Koun or Andaaz Apna Apna or Karan Arjun
Ash
Not sure if this counts but Chandramukhi (Tamil) is a classic for me! Also Padayappa :)
Anju D. Ramgoolam
There is another one by Big B. Bombay to goa.
Farah Ansari
Not sure how we define “classic” but Karz is a good one with Rishi Kapoor. It’s based off the novel “The Reincarnation of Peter Proud”. As a SRK lover, Dil To Pagal Hai or Baazigar are amazing. Completely different vibes. Amitabh - “Sharaabi” And Padosan with Sunil Dutt and Saira Banu - one of the best comedies ever. There’s too many to choose one. Best of luck!
MayaR
Honestly, classics is probably a review thing.. this way you can watch more movies and review them.. I have a suggestion for classic Malayalam movie, y’all have expressed interest in watching the one set in a prison with Mammooty speaking to a woman from the woman’s prison.. I will wait for what you decide before suggesting names etc..
Billy
Ditto
Salil Khetani
Asli Naqli (1961) - Dev Anand and Sadhana - Rich man finds purpose and love while living in a poor neighborhood.
Api
Personally think the old films being reviews and the watch a longs being from whenever is good.
Anju D. Ramgoolam
Yes korbin there are many very good classics that you can do watch alongs. We in fact have seen them but love to watch along with you as well♥️ my 1st suggestion is jaane bhi dow yaaro by naseerudin shah
Billy
I would say keep the watchalongs to whenever, preferably from the last 10/15 years or so and then review older movies. Some classics are hard to revisit as an audience. Not gonna lie I’m not sure I can sit through movies from the late 80s and before. I’m sure some people will disagree with me though 🤣. I cosign the dude who said Baadshah as a classic for s watchalong, it would be a great watch

Not sure if it counts as a classic but Baadshah (1999) to me is a HIGHLY entertaining movie of SRK “probably” my favorite!
