Oddly enough I had not watched this film before so watched it with OSR for the first time. And while I agree with the points on dubbing and score and even the "why" for the characters, I actually liked the 2 characters and the performances. Also liked that they did not explain a lot of what they were thinking and it was said in their eyes. Correct me if am wrong, but Irfan's character was not a widower and was never married, right?

Korbin- “aliyaa” in Malayalam doesn’t mean “friend” 😂. “Aliyan” means brother-in-law and malayalees use “aliyaa” for “hey bro”… you can’t call Parvathy your aliyan. 😁 there are so many words for friend in different parts of Kerala. Some common word are “changaayi” in north Kerala, “Gaddi” in Thrissur, “aliyan” mainly for male friends in many places. Proper word would be “koottukaran” (male) and koottukari (female). “Suhruthu” is a word used in literature.

Agreed with your review. This movie was just okay for me, and the dubbing was pretty bad. Positive I guess is at least people who kept on requesting it finally got their request completed !

Besides terrible sound mix and dubbing, very bad subs too. Took away from wit of the dialogues.

Yeah I totally agree. The dubbing ruined the movie for me too, especially the weird sound effects like we know they are breathing, you don't have to emphasize on the "ehms" and "ahs".

If dubbing hurts you guys, watch Page 3. You'd hate it because what you guys felt here, I felt for that film. A great movie reduced to mediocrity by awful dubbing.
