Shobhana-Mohanlal was a dream pair in the 80s, 90s. You might wanna watch Minnaram. Not sure if there is a version with subtitles available though. It's so good! Definitely check out Chitram!

Yess!!! Can’t believe they remade this gem in Hindi and absolutely ruined it. It’s freakin franchise now too. I agree with others who recommended the below for Mohanlal - chitram, his highness Abdullah and my all time favorite performance of his- Bharatam.

Was there a reason you felt the need to bring up the Tamil version? You can’t just enjoy the fact that osr reacted finally to the original… You might find Chandramukhi silly but it’s a very entertaining and nostalgic film for tamilians . Of course while nothing beats original , I will happily watch that and Chandramukhi for different reasons. Chandramukhi for the pure entertainment and great songs. Also it’s spelt Rajinikanth and Jyothika, thanks 😊

thats yesudas not SPB , kindi (water jug ) was in reference to the copper water jug which was thrown at him , he was trying to find if that man is the one who threw that water jug at him thats why he keeps asking him repeatedly about kindi (water jug used in toilet)

So happy you guys liked it!! Mohanlal is known for his comic timing. Kilukkam, chithram are some of the movies you can watch for his comedy. You guys absolutely should watch Kireedam and Bharatham.

Mohanlal is the best in India among lead actors in comedy. He is just too flexible. This movie is at his prime. There are just too many comedy movies by Mohanlal. I would recommend Chandralekha only for its comedies. The movie is mid but the comedies are way over the top and funny.

Korbin you are both now ready for Chitram. It’s my favorite of Mohan Lal and then there is Bharatham for the outstanding music and His Highness Abdullah. You will eventually realize how Mohan Lal is synonymous with great music. For Fazil please check out 'Nokkethadhoorathu Kannum Nattu' and 'Ramji Rao Speaking' which is the original of Hera Pheri in hindi.
