So many other better Priyadarshan comedies like Hungama, Hulchul, Chup Chup Ke, Yeh Tera ghar yeh mera ghar, malamaal weekly and these idiots watch the shitty overrated ones like garam masala, Bhagam bhag, and now this! What do these movies have in common: akshay kumar. And that’s why these two dumbasses picked those. They need to stop kissing akshay kumar’s ass and give those other films a chance !!!

Yeah, this movie just didn't work, unfortunately. It became a hit, surprisingly (to me at least), mostly because people liked the silliness and the music, but it was a "silly movie", not a "film", and the plot was very, very weak, not making any real sense in many places. It's a shame, because Priyadarshan is usually a great director. "Usually". He didn't even always do comedy in his early days. He did an action-drama with Jackie Shroff called Gardish in the early 90s which was a good film in its own rights, even if driven by 90s Bollywood cliches
